The Lost Princess

The first project I was truly, truly proud of. I loved the process of creating this series so much. I wanted to convey a lost princess, taking inspiration from "Anastasia" the film I love. I enjoyed styling and doing the makeup and location-scouting. All things that I did myself this project which added to the satisfaction when it was completed. I played with the lighting in

this series, I wanted the images to have a softness but also convey how hard her life had been.

I used running shots as I wanted to express the idea of her running away. This was a great effect due to her costume, the silky fabric flowing with the movement. I wanted to convey the colour green throughout due to the film, but didn't want the colour to be too overpowering which i think i achieve.

The architecture was stunning in this abandoned old house, a place I have used a lot in my photography, which really adds to the design and composition of the images.
